Urban Indigenous people often experience racism and discrimination as part of everyday life. This can happen at work, in housing, or when accessing services. Many urban Indigenous people also do not have access to information about their legal rights and the options available to them.

This report examines the impact of municipal bylaws that govern where people experiencing homelessness
may temporarily shelter in city-owned parks, focusing on four Canadian municipalities: Vancouver,

In their own words: A recipient-informed case for fixing Ontario’s social assistance system

This report focused on the current state of social assistance and solutions for fixing it. The report and recommendations are drawn directly from a survey of 200 social assistance recipients from across Ontario, as well as several focus group discussions.

Supporting clients with Canadian Human Rights Act complaints

Not all discrimination claims are handled by the Ontario Human Rights Code. The Government of Canada and certain sectors that it regulates must follow the Canadian Human Rights Act. For example, banks, airlines, postal and courier services, and interprovincial trucking, railway, and bus companies follow the Act.
