Understanding no-fault evictions: Join us on April 21, 2026 at noon.

Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act allows a landlord to end a tenancy for reasons unrelated to a tenant's actions. These types of evictions are called no-fault evictions. Landlords must bring a no-fault eviction in good faith, but some landlords use them to get new tenants who pay more rent. This is known as a bad faith eviction. This webinar covers:

  • municipal renoviction and demoviction bylaws
  • what demovictions and renovictions are, and Form N13
  • landlords’ own-use evictions and Form N12
  • what to do if a landlord uses a no-fault eviction in bad faith
  • how community workers can advocate for stronger tenant rights
