Legal services
- Black Femme Legal: Provides legal information, services, and non-legal supports to Black 2SLGBTQI+ workers in Ontario.
- The 519 Access to Justice Initiatives: Supports 2SLGBTQ+ communities reduce barriers to accessing relevant legal services and educational resources.
- Human Rights Legal Support Centre: Provides free legal information and advice to people who have experienced discrimination. They also have an online tool that can help people figure out if a situation might be discrimination.
- Legal Aid Ontario: Provides a variety of legal services for low-income people in Ontario who are financially eligible. Covers some types of criminal, family, mental health, immigration, and refugee law problems.
- JusticeNet: Offers reduced-cost legal services to people whose income is too high to qualify for legal aid but too low to afford legal fees. Services are available in many different areas of law.
There are also community legal clinics across the province. Some have programs that provide support to 2SLGBTQI+ communities. Contact your local clinic for more information.
Community organizations
- 2 Spirits in Motion Society: Supports 2S people through community, ceremony, advocacy, and youth leadership across Turtle Island.
- 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations: Supports 2-Spirit people and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit community members who are at risk of or living with HIV, hepatitis C, and related co-infections.
- FrancoQueer: Supports Francophone 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies in Ontario.
- Ontario Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf: Provides programming, networking, and support for Deaf 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Ontario.
- pflag Canada: Provides peer support, education, and advocacy for 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their loved ones.
- Rainbow Health Ontario: Trains healthcare and service providers in clinically and culturally competent care, develops resources, and advocates for inclusive policy change.
- Rainbow Railroad: Helps LGBTQI+ people around the world who face persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics.
