Training for the public

  • Community Legal Clinics – Many community legal clinics offer free public legal education presentations on areas of law that they cover. Contact your local community legal clinic for more information.
  • Specialty Legal Clinics – Some specialty legal clinics may offer free public legal education to the demographic communities they serve or on the topics that they address. This includes Advocacy Centre for the Elderly, ARCH Disability Law Centre, HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic of Ontario, the Income Security Advocacy Centre, the Workers’ Health & Safety Legal Clinic, and others.   • Ontario Legal Information Centre/Centre d’information juridique de l'Ontario – OLIC/CIJO offers legal presentations and webinars on a variety of topics to organizations and the public. Presentations are available in English and French.
  • Student Legal Service Organizations – Based out of law schools in Ontario, some Student Legal Service Organizations provide free public legal education to the community under supervision of a lawyer.
