Based in Calgary and Edmonton, the Youth Criminal Defence Office (YCDO) operates under the supervision of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta and represents young persons between 12 to 18 years of age who are charged with criminal offences. The YCDO also employs a number of social workers, youth workers and administrative staff who support the lawyers.
