Consumer Protection Toolkit: Motor Vehicle Dealers Act

This toolkit has information on how the Motor Vehicles Dealers Act protects new and used vehicle buyers. It explains that dealers must be registered and follow a code of ethics. It looks at what disclosures must be made about the vehicle, what conditions apply to the 90-day “cooling off” period, and how the price of the vehicle must be advertised.
