Ukrainians in Canada: Special Immigration Measures and Supports for Temporary Residents

Recorded on June 23, 2022

Many Ukrainians arriving in Canada are asking community and settlement workers for support and information. This webinar provides details on the Canada Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET), which allows Ukrainians to come to Canada as temporary residents.

We share information on study permits, work permits, prioritization of Ukrainian files by the Immigration and Refugee Board, and details about eligibility for income and health benefits. The focus is on maintaining temporary immigration status for Ukrainians in Canada, not on applying for CUAET from abroad.

Speaker: Heather Neufeld,  Immigration Lawyer at Connecting Ottawa

NOTE: Our speaker has created a companion document, "Ukraine Webinar: Questions and Answers" that provides ALL the answers (and more) to the questions in the presentation plus participant questions and answers from the live Q+A.
