International students increasingly seek support from community workers when facing issues with work, housing, tuition, and immigration. There have also been many changes to international student rules recently. This webinar provides information about:
- rules and restrictions international students face in relation to employment and applying for permanent residency, including recent announcements about work hours, caps on study permits, proof of funds and work permit eligibility.
- resources available to international students struggling with school and access to public services like healthcare.
The presenter shares successful strategies to address various work, housing and school issues. Concrete examples of resources and best practices to support students are also discussed.
