Indigenous Rights in the Canadian Criminal Justice System – a legal literacy activity

With the support of the Canadian Bar Association Law for the Future Fund, the Community Law School (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc., in cooperation with the Organization for Literacy in Lambton, has created a series of Legal Literacy Activities.

This legal literacy activity, one in a series on criminal procedure, covers information about rights of Indigenous accused in Canada. Adult learners are prompted to review a CLEO brochure on issues affecting Indigenous people in the criminal justice system and prepare written answers to questions about what they've read.
