HALCO has new resources on HIV and the Criminal Law in Canada for African, Caribbean, and Black communities. There are 2 guides and a video that explain when a person may need to disclose their HIV status to sexual partners, and how they can protect themselves and lower the risk of criminal charges and convictions.
The guides are available in English, French, Arabic, and Swahili. And the video is captioned in English and French.
HALCO is the HIV and Aids Legal Clinic of Ontario. They worked with HIV Legal Network, African Caribbean Council on HIV/ AIDS in Ontario (ACCHO), Africans in Partnership Against AIDS (APAA), and Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) to produce these resources.
