This article outlines the development process of RoseNet – a community collaboration between the University of Alberta and immigrant serving agencies to contribute to the legal education of abused immigrant women and those they consulted. The three major goals of RoseNet are identified: to contribute to the processes of equitable participation in the legal system by immigrant women; to contribute to the mainstream society’s understanding of legal issues on partner abuse in the context of immigrant women; and to contribute to the process of equitable participation by immigrant women in the use of the web (as a medium for PLE accessibility). The article concludes with development plans and an expressed interest in greater PLEI needs assessment for their target demographic.
