This report describes an Australian project which led to the establishment of an online suite of "legal health check" tools. These screening tools were designed to help community workers identify possible legal needs of their clients and make appropriate referrals for legal help. The report also contains a literature and practice review of existing legal health check initiatives in Australia. The authors conclude that more resources should be made available to develop legal health check practices.
