This report outlines Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO)’s vision for a collaborative Ontario PLE website targeting low-income populations that would provide online legal information that focuses on comprehension and awareness of legal rights rather than their mere description, legal education and training designed primarily for community workers and also community based legal and other referrals. The digital divide is said to have less to do with internet access than it does capacity to use and apply the information found on it. Site visitors would be able to access real time assistance and would be able to conduct their search using reference points such as life situations, etc. rather than having to weed through a laundry list of legal topics.
