Access to Justice For All: Towards an “Expansive Vision” of Justice and Technology

This report examines developments in Canadian access to justice literature from 2005 to 2013, focusing on an evaluation of technologies that emerged as proposed responses to the access to justice crisis in Canada.

The report concludes that it is highly important to consider the following when developing new technologies or determining priorities to use existing technologies:

  • the relationships between justice deliverables, technological means of delivery, and intended users
  • development of careful decision-making mechanisms
